We have always loved these humble insects, which were used by historical figures including Napoleon Bonaparte as an emblem of industry, diligence and orderliness. In this vertical repeat pattern, a hand-drawn image of a honey bee is shown with its wings gradually opening and closing, creating an animated effect.
